Just a quick thought before I leave to pick up great company for the long weekend.
Why, before invited guests arrive to your home, do we start to clean? It is such a strange phenomenon, that I will never understand. Not that I go crazy mind you by frantically cleaning everything but yes I still do clean, mainly the muddles that I have created since the last visit. And of course a good sweep of the dog hair and dirt that they so lovingly deposit every day.  And then when guest leave, you are left with another clean!! I remember Mum used to use Sundays as “cleaning” day – the home was cleaned from top to bottom and, yes she still does her Sunday cleaning. Even asks me if I am in the midst of cleaning when I call on Sundays!! Yes, Mum ……… I don’t think so!!
We humans, certainly do have some strange behaviours at times and certainly creatures of habit. That said, it just reminds me, I have to sweep the floor ………
